It’s the first day of BETT! Come celebrate education, chat with teachers, have a play about with some fun new technologies and drink some local beers at Machines Room, the makerspace on London’s Maker Mile only 20 minutes away from the Excel Centre.
Helen Steer – education writer, maker and current resident at Machines Room – will be hosting a relaxed evening of networking, practical education tips and fun makes.
Our line up so far includes:
- Micro:Bit Robot Unicorn racing with Helen
- A live coding music demonstration from Miri Kat
- Tina from Ada 6th Form College sharing their approach to project based, inclusive digital learning
- A super cute robotic petting zoo from BirdBrain Technologies from Pittsburgh, USA
Give Helen a shout on twitter (@helenleigh) if you want to show something you’ve made or talk about something you’ve taught.
Our lovely makerspace is in an old warehouse on the canal, on the same road as Tech Will Save Us, Sam Labs and Open Desk. Other residents include Crafty Robots, Disrupt Disability, Hackoustic, BatchWorks and Rory the pug who is an extremely Good Boy.
