Future Perfect, Sweden

The 2012 Future Perfect Festival aimed to promote ‘sustainability without guilt’ through the notion that sustainability can, and should, be genuinely desirable. CLEAR VILLAGE was invited to host several sessions over three days, including a forum on localism and a ‘Policy Round Table’ with politicians from Karlstad. Other fantastic presentations included Sinead Mac Manus’s contemplation of social sustainability and the internet; Christer Soderberg’s talk about the Open World Café in Stockholm, which engaged the local community with sustainable living and organic food; Carolyn Steel’s inspirational account of food in modern cities; and Pooran Desai’s introduction to One Planet Communities.
