Rural renaissance workshop at global villages, Austria

Taking a step back from our focus on cities, CLEAR VILLAGE and GIVE jointly delivered “The Rural Renaissance” workshop at the 2010 Real Corp Conference. The workshop focused on the question: “How can we integrate better functionality into rural spaces to enhance the quality of life they can offer?” The answer, it appears, is that there is no “liveable city” without a hinterland. Rural areas are essential – not only to feed the city but because they possess indispensable qualities related to human happiness.
